Ronture's Blog| What I bought at Goodwill |
|---|
| Anyone who has been to their local Goodwill probably knows that people drop some cool stuff off there. Goodwill! According to Goodwill.org, Goodwill is a non-profit organization. There may be a store in your area. What can you do at Goodwill? You can donate stuff and you can buy stuff. It's like recycling except with everyday household items! I like to go to Goodwill because you never know what they're going to have on their shelves. I've seen speakers, an electronic keyboard, alarm clocks from the 80's, a coffee maker, and a turntable! A TURNTABLE! AT GOODWILL!! I've also seen a world clock stand, a DSL router, and what I had bought two days ago: Microsoft Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition. Now I was looking through the DVD section for any movies that I've seen and want to own on physical copy. They sell DVD movies for $2 USD each. I saw the word Microsoft and thought 'hmm... this sounds interesting.' and I read the rest of it and immediately took it from the shelf. I thought to myself, 'could this be true? Will this be more expensive because it's software? Will I be disappointed?' and so I put it in the cart. We check out and I get to the car. I ask if I could view the reciept and I inferred that this thing I bought was labeled: I have no idea what I might do with it; I might as well give it to a friend. Why not? I already have a copy of Office 2003: Professional Edition. Maybe I'll donate it to Micheal MJD or something like that. That'd be nice... |
