Ronture's Blog| I got a Rubik's cube three days ago |

Three days ago was the day that I got to twist and turn my first owned Rubik's Cube. That's right: the first Rubik's cube I didn't have to worry about giving back or paying rent money to play with. It came in stress-free cardboard packaging (which still induced some stress; I couldn't open the package with my bare hands)and it wasn't that expensive to buy by itself. I got a 3x3 from Amazon for $9.84, shipping subtracted. It has plastic colors on its sides. I was playing with it last night, and ALMOST got to the end, but two (TWO!) parts were swapped in different places. >:\ I solved it twice today. I still don't know the entire system about how to solve the cube or get four of the corners in the right position. If I did, I'd know how to solve it in any solvable combination. I find it difficult to maneuver the bottom yellow corners as part of the way to solve it. If I can get the cornerrs to be in their correct orientation, I'm set for the rest of the round, most likely. But I can't do that, unfortunately, and I'm stuck with what I have. Oh well. |
