So something happened on Twitter yesterday. I was browsing Twitter as I normally was, and I saw on the right, that "Powerpuff Girls" was trending. So I took a look at what was going on, and here's what I believe happened. A representative of CW, a television network, had announced that the script of the new live-action Powerpuff Girls production was to be re-written[1]. Twitter user Fawfulator supposedly leaked the script of the production, which ended up getting striked for copyright by someone. The claimed 'leaked script' had multiple instances of sexual content. Also, in order to strike a tweet for removal by copyright, the copyrighted work must be proved to be the work of the strike maker[2]. So what can we gather from this? We can infer that CW had striked the tweet for copyright and that they had proved that the 'leaked script' was, in fact, from them. Is it true? I can't be too sure. Is the script real? Oh, yeah; it's real. You can find the file here. Hopefully the link doesn't rot away. If it does, I'll probably host a download here. But I won't do that until this link no longer works. I don't know who would waste hours of their life making a 60-page script with inappropriate content about characters from The Powerpuff Girls on a Mac running MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. No, seriously; if you download the file and look at the additional metadata, you can find out that it was last modified on March 3, 2021. Check out the image here or below. ![]() Window displaying additional metadata about ppg.pdf, the script file. So about this "Fawfulator" character... well, his page was private yesterday. I thought he was questioned for how he got information and stuff. So, being the person I was, I decided to add him as a friend and view his profile to see what was going on. Normal stuff. He was getting requests anyways. And then, later, I made a Twitter post here, that he caught light of, and made this tweet later afterwards and blocked me. (If this tweet ever gets deleted or the embed no longer functions, you can take a look at the tweet here.) So yeah. I think he thought I was spying on him, that requesting him to be my Twitter friend and finding out what happened by looking through the Internet Archive for any of his front-page tweets was 'stalkery'. I understand why he would think that. (And hey, manager of the Fawfulator Twitter acount, I was simply doing research and trying to view what happened on your profile when it was private, so I decided to make a follow request to you. I think that didn't deserve a block. I wasn't intentionally intruding.) Anyways, you can take a look yourself at the supposedly-leaked script and find out what it was all about. I personally think an innocent TV show about three girls saving the world didn't need a bunch of unnecessary sexual content. The show was based on a kid's show. What were they thinking? Maybe someone messed up with the storyline and decided to keep it going from there. But that's just a theory and most likely isn't true.
